Unbelievably Good

OK, first off I never really write reviews but for this book I needed too. I am an avid reader, I go through book after book and generally love reading. The problem with this is a month later I cannot tell you the ins and outs of a book, they generally mash together in my mind. Not so for Her Benny, very rarely does a book have me on the verge of tears but this one did. It tells the tale of a young boy, Benny and his younger sister, Nelly, growing up in Victorian Liverpool, England - Victorian England could be very harsh and rough for the working/under class and nowhere more so than Liverpool. Their bond grips you and makes you care.
This book was written 121 years ago and some of the old Liverpool speak can be difficult to get around but a few pages in you are fine. The only thing that may get on some people is the pushing of religion, the characters try and lead a moral life through the Bible, again remember when this was written, 1890. I am not religious and did not find it over-powering, the story was that good.
Anyway, give this a try, I am sure you will love it.
