Beautiful pictures, faithful retelling

Like any dePaola book "The Parables of Jesus" is beautifully illustrated. The author's rendition of the Parables is true to the Bible and easy for children to understand. It is my favorite resource for teaching the parables to my kids' preschool playgroup. I usually don't like paying more than $5 for a used book-- this was almost $10 (in good condition) and was well worth it.

Stunning artwork accompany Christ's powerful parables

Great introduction for children to the deeply metaphoric parables of Jesus. Complete with gorgeous artwork by Tomie dePaola. I used this at home with my son when he was little and then with children in our Episcopal Chuurch.
